Kate Anderson-Bernier

A Gap in the Fence

Kate Anderson-Bernier lives in Guelph, Ontario with her husband and teenage daughters.  She has a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Linguistics and a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, and is retired from a career in that discipline. Having grown up in a family of natural story tellers, Kate has always been captivated by the crafting and delivery of a good tale. A Gap in the Fence was inspired by memories of her family’s farm in the Canadian prairies.

Nikki Everts

Evidence of Uncertain Origin

After graduating in 1969 from the University of California, Berkeley, Nikki travelled for several months, arriving in Montréal in April, 1970 where she lived until 1992.The events leading up to the FLQ’s kidnapping and murder of Pierre Laporte, the beauty of Montréal and the complexity of Québec politics inspired the setting and backdrop of Evidence of Uncertain Origin, Nikki’s first mystery novel.

Denisha Naidoo

Denisha Naidoo is a South African born Canadian physician psychotherapist, poet and writer, lives in Guelph, Ontario with her dog Maverick. Her work has appeared in a number of journals. She also published a podcast of her novella The Amazing Adventures of Wig Girl. Denisha is publishing a collection of short pieces and a novel with Arboretum Press in 2025-26.

Ron Ross

Flodden

Ron Ross was born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland. After serving two years of compulsory military service in the British army, he and his wife emigrated to Canada. He spent his career in Information Technology, retiring in 2007. He currently lives in Guelph, Ontario, where he spends much of his time administering a fans forum for Heart of Midlothian FC and writing short articles for a local monthly magazine. Flodden, a story of Scotland’s worst military defeat, is his first novella.

Marian L Thorpe

Empire’s Legacy eight-book series; Bjarndýr and the Marsh Monster; and, Beyond the Wall: Short Stories and Verse.

After two careers as a research scientist and an educator, Marian decided it was time to do what she’d always really wanted and be a writer. He life-long interest in Roman and post-Roman European history provided the inspiration for her books, while her other interests in landscape history and birding provide background.
