We assist authors with editing, formatting, cover design and producing books, whether for public sale or private distribution of memoir-type books to family (see the page Stag Oak Books). We provide the ISBN and the imprint name if you wish, or if you wish to publish under your own ISBN and imprint that too is fine. What we do NOT do is any sort of distribution or marketing*. Authors are expected to use their own accounts with KDP, Kobo, Draft2Digital, etc (we can sit with you to set up your accounts if needed) and contact bookstores to carry copies. We have no national or international distribution capabilities.
There is absolutely no charge for any service we supply unless for a purchase of a cover image or other copyrighted material. Arboretum Press is privately and grant funded. We take no royalties; all profits belong to the author.
Due to this business model, we can publish only a handful of books per year.
